Steamed Rice

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                                                                               (Serves – 4)

  • Rice – 2 cups
  • Water – 4 cups

 

Method:

  • Wash the rice thoroughly.
  • Soak the rice for 20 minutes, then drain.
  • In a deep pot, add water and bring it to a boil.
  • Add the soaked rice.
  • Cook on medium heat until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
  • Switch off the heat, cover the pot, and let the rice steam for 5 minutes.
  • Fluff gently with a fork and serve hot.

 

Prep time – 5 minutes    Cook time – 15 minutes                   Total time – 20 minutes
