Ingredients (Serves – 4)
- Ripe Bel Fruit – 1 Large
- Chilled Water – 4 Cups
- Sugar – 6 Tablespoons
- Lemon Juice – 1 Tablespoon
- Ice Cubes – As Required
- Fresh Mint Leaves – For Garnish
Method
- Crack open the ripe bel fruit and scoop out the pulp into a large bowl.
- Add 2 cups of water to the pulp and mash it thoroughly using your hands or a spoon.
- Strain the mixture through a sieve to remove seeds and fibers.
- Transfer the strained pulp to a large jug.
- Add sugar and lemon juice to the pulp mixture.
- Pour in the remaining chilled water and stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if required.
- Pour the bel sharbat into glasses filled with ice cubes.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve chilled.
